Russian wineries

I’m passionate about wine, so a trip through several wineries in the Krasnodar region was only a matter of time. It turned into a true several days wine tour: Château André, Château de Talu, Skalistyi Bereg and the Lefkadia Valley.

All the wines there are young, the grapevines are no more than 13–15 years old and bottles older than 2018 are hard to find (and unnecessary!). It’s the “new world” after all, a feast for the eyes and a delight to explore. Don’t expect an Italian Chianti or a German Riesling — instead, try the Chardonnay or Cabernet Franc from Skalistyi Bereg.
